Exercise becomes a part of a healthy lifestyle when you keep up with it on a regular basis. How many people do you know that are paying for a gym membership every month and never actually go to the gym? Statistics how that around 50% of people who sign up for the gym drop out within 6 months. Every person is going to have a different timeline, but if you can make it past that invisible barrier then daily exercise really starts to become a habit.
I believe that the best work out partner to help you reach that point in your life is a personal trainer. Why not commit to someone who is going to make that commitment back to you? As a personal trainer I will work with you to develop programs and goals that are specifically designed for YOU. But more importantly I want to make your fitness and lifestyle goals realistic and achievable. Nobody is going to continue working towards a goal if they never see any success.
I have been a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym since it opened in Edmonton, as well as being an athlete and a fitness enthusiast for most of my life. I have played basketball, volleyball, badminton, and golf at a competitive level, as well as training a women’s volleyball team for 3 years. At a recreational level I enjoy skiing, biking, soccer, squash, martial arts, and pilates.
I have experience working with athletes, emergency response occupations, seniors, and people with disabilities. My studies have also given me a range of knowledge about body composition and fitness testing, sport psychology, weight loss, nutrition, and healthy living.
As a trainer I want to push you outside of your comfort zone. I think that working out should be both challenging and fun. I hope to make you work harder than you normally would to help you achieve your goals. At the end of a session I like to see my clients leaving the gym exhausted, but with a smile on their face.
